How Daylite is Redefining Orlando’s Daytime Party Scene
In just 19 months, Daylite has welcomed more than 24,000 guests across 32 events, growing from a single gathering of friends into one of Orlando’s most successful daytime house music experiences.
Behind it all are two familiar names in Orlando’s entertainment community, Rupesh Patel and DJ Chino. While their paths into the industry were different, their shared vision has helped transform Daylite from an idea into one of Orlando’s most recognizable daytime electronic music experiences.
What began in December 2024 as a birthday gathering for DJ Chino at Qreate Coffee planted the seed for what would become Daylite, as Chino and Rupesh combined their shared passion and complementary backgrounds to bring the concept to life. Today, that vision has grown into a movement built on decades of experience in hospitality, radio, nightlife, and DJ culture.
“We saw a shift,” Rupesh said to Orlando Life. “People wanted to go out during the daytime.”
That realization became impossible to ignore after a trip to Miami. On the train ride home, the conversation shifted from inspiration to possibility.
“We’ve got to do something during the day,” he recalled.
The timing was right. Both had already spent decades immersed in Orlando’s music scene. Rupesh brought years of hospitality experience and business development experience, while DJ Chino contributed a career that spanned vinyl records, radio, club residencies, and some of Central Florida’s most recognizable airwaves.
“I’ve been DJing since I was about 15 years old,” Chino told Orlando Life. “Music isn’t something we’re jumping into because it’s a trend. This is our life.”
“Anybody can throw a party,” Rupesh said. “What separates us is our experience. It’s hospitality, marketing, networking, business, and understanding what people actually want.”
That philosophy can be felt the moment guests arrive.

Daylite embraces an audience that has evolved alongside Orlando itself. Unlike traditional nightlife, Daylite isn’t built around alcohol, exclusivity, or late nights. Young professionals, longtime electronic music fans, parents, creatives, entrepreneurs, and first-time visitors all find themselves sharing the same dance floor before dinner.
“A lot of my friends aren’t going to clubs anymore,” Chino said. “People love coffee. People love being outside. People love enjoying the day. We wanted to get a piece of the day.”
Community is a word both founders return to often.
For them, Daylite is about creating a space where people feel welcomed, where introductions happen naturally, and where familiar faces slowly become friends.
“We want people to meet new people,” Rupesh said. “We want everyone to feel welcome.”
That openness has helped build an audience that continues to grow with every event and nourished a sense of community that attendees have noticed as well.

“We’re always surprised by all the new faces,” Rupesh said. “People discover us through friends, online, and now even from out of state. We have people coming from South Florida and Washington, D.C. just to experience it.”
Part of that momentum comes from something both founders value deeply: investing in Orlando’s creative community.
While Daylite has become known for its atmosphere, it has also quietly become a platform for emerging DJs who might otherwise not get the opportunity to perform before large audiences.
“The whole basis of this was bringing up new DJs,” Chino said. “Some of them may never have had the opportunity to play for hundreds of people. You never know who could become the next big artist.”
That commitment to developing local talent has earned respect from artists across Orlando's music community.

That same mindset extends beyond music. Daylite regularly partners with local organizations, supports arts and cultural initiatives, and creates events that welcome families and people from every corner of the community.
“It’s really about bringing Orlando together”
Both founders spoke proudly about Orlando’s rich electronic music history and the DJs who helped shape it long before today’s scene. “Orlando was at one point the epicenter of electronic music” Chino said. “We came from that generation, and we want to continue building on it.”
Their long-term vision includes producing one of Central Florida’s biggest daytime electronic music festivals while continuing to showcase local artists alongside nationally recognized talent.
On a final note, Rupesh told Orlando Life, “We want the world to see what Orlando is really about. It’s not just Disney or the theme parks. The culture here is amazing.”
That vision reflects a growing confidence in Orlando’s creative community, one built by people who believe collaboration creates something greater than competition. If Daylite’s first two years are any indication, Rupesh and DJ Chino are helping shape what that future looks like.

The duo also teased what they describe as their biggest event yet, a Halloween celebration on October 31st that will double as Rupesh’s birthday bash.
