On October 15th, Interstruct Design + Build is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special edition of CONNECT, bringing together local artists, makers, musicians and creative entrepreneurs. (RSVP) Working with Assemblage and through its public arts initiative, Parramore Arts, Interstruct will transform its headquarters along the West Church Corridor into a creative experience where guests can explore art, meet the people behind it and participate in activities. The free event runs from 5pm-9pm at 814 W. Church St.
The event is built around three concepts: CREATE, GATHER and MOVE. Guests can try their hand at pottery, screen-print their own T-shirts, make pressed-flower art and watch local artists demonstrate their craft. Throughout the property, they'll also find art installations, local vendors selling handmade goods, food tastings and opportunities to meet the creatives behind the work. Live DJs, hip-hop performances and a mix of R&B, soul and jazz will bring music to the evening, encouraging guests to explore the different experiences happening across the property.
Here's a look at the creatives you'll find at CONNECT.
