WZRDFest Brings Together Fans of Fantasy, Art, and Oddities

Courtney Ring, the Master Wizard behind WZRDFest

WZRDFest held its first event at Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company on Saturday in Ivanhoe Village. Courtney Ring, the mastermind (or Master Wizard) behind the event wanted to create a gathering for the unconventional and creative souls of Orlando.

WZRDFest (pronounced Wizard Fest) is a playful celebration inspired by Renaissance fairs and Orlando’s unique quirks. Courtney envisioned a place where people could escape the usual costs and commute to big events, like MegaCon, and embrace the fun of dressing up locally. With a welcoming space for fans of fantasy, art, and oddities, WZRDFest allows attendees to don cloaks and enjoy an enchanting day close to home.

“I’m just trying to bring something to the community, where some weird and wacky people can get together and have fun," Courtney shared.

With a creative market, live music and fun activities like Wizard Bingo, WZRDFest brings together connections over shared passions.

Courtney, who also hosts the Goblin Market at Oveido Mall, uses these events to tap into their love for fantasy, cosplay and accessible art spaces. By bringing people together under the banner of community and creativity, they're helping Orlando’s art scene thrive—one magical gathering at a time.
