The last Saturday of April brought in a fresh squeeze of fashion, fun, and community with the third official CITRUSMRKET. Orlando’s coolest fashion fanatics flocked to the scene, hosted at Interstruct Design + Build, for a jam packed day of nonstop shopping and partying.
Browsing the aisles to a lively backdrop of funky beats from some of Orlando’s most loved DJs, locals explored a landscape of unique vendors, ranging from curated vintage fashion, to delicious speciality matcha. CITRUSMRKET is heaven on Earth for anyone whose heart is happiest while thrifting, and through the excitement (and fabulous outfits) of everyone in attendance, it shows.
“CITRUSMRKET is nothing but great vibes. Best dressed people, a thousand different personalities out here. You’re going to meet so many different people, and a bunch of different faces. It’s a great time.” - Adrian Hernandez

Co-founders Damian Jimenez-Lazarte and Tiano Valmyr introduced CITRUSMRKET to Orlando’s fashion grove in November of 2025, and since then, it’s become a staple amongst the community. Damien and Tiano had their beginnings in the Orlando scene where many blossoming creatives (myself included) started out, Strike Magazine Orlando.
Strike Magazine is the largest student-run magazine publication in the US, with branches scattered throughout the nation, especially in Florida. Orlando’s branch of Strike Magazine was founded in 2020, and just recently released its 12th issue The Search for Identity, last Thursday.
I crossed paths with Damien and Tiano while working on Issue 10 of Strike. I was a brand ambassador while Tiano served as the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, and Damien operated as Finance Director. It’s nothing short of an inspiration to see the strides they’ve made since their time working with the magazine. As Strike Magazine Orlando alums, Damien and Tiano show how Orlando's rich ecosystem promotes growth and helps creatives thrive, especially creative youth.

CITRUSMRKET contributes to the growing biome of talented creatives in Orlando by spotlighting the incredible work they do as a team. The teaser for this April’s CITRUSMRKET featured the “Who’s Who” of the Orlando creative community, with cameos from creatives like musician Chelz Danielle, artist and filmmaker Youri Chang, and Minoux Magazine’s Creative Direction team Tim Ogun and Abeer Belal. The teaser started a big conversation about the market online, and brought together some of Orlando's most talented and well respected creatives.
Market vendor and teaser stylist assistant Naomi shared her experience as an involved member of the team and third time vendor, with Orlando Life:
“I’ve been here since day one. I was just kind of an aspiring vendor, and this was a pretty chill one that no one had ever done before…now [vending] is my full time job and I love doing it, I love being with all these amazing people.” - Naomi Cervero-Gifford (NoobzVTG)

A bustling community event infused with bold personality, CITRUSMRKET brings Orlando together through the shared language of love for fashion. Co-founders Damien and Tiano have flourished from their humble beginnings, and continue to spread the love among fashion fanatics and aspiring creatives from the Orlando scene. Stay tuned for their next market this August!
