One of the things we appreciate most about Orlando is that you don't have to travel far to experience the world. We're a diverse community of people who chose to call Orlando home, and with that, bring their exceptional talents and ideas to participate in our growing culture. One event that truly celebrates the culinary side of this is FusionFest's Culinary Arts Contest.
Orlando Life is grateful to once again join FusionFest as their premier media partner for this year's Culinary Arts Contest, returning for its 9th year on July 21st and July 23rd at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management. After covering the competition last year, we're looking forward to seeing another group of talented local chefs share their culinary skills and the cultural traditions that inspire every dish.
The Culinary Arts Contest highlights the diversity that has become one of Orlando's defining strengths. This year's event features 10 professional chefs from across Central Florida, each creating an original fusion dish that blends ingredients, flavors and techniques from different cultures into something entirely new.
For guests, the experience goes well beyond watching chefs compete. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample the featured dishes, meet the chefs behind them and even help select the People's Choice Award. Throughout the evening, cultural performances and entertainment add another layer to the experience, creating an event that celebrates the people, traditions and of course, food!
