Fashion and Hope check presentation marks milestone for children’s cancer support

            Published October 2, 2025

Leaders from the Hope for More Foundation and Give Hope Foundation gathered Thursday October 2nd at Bentley Orlando for a check presentation following the Fashion and Hope charity event held in August.

J.R. Tanghal, President of the Hope for More Foundation and organizer of Fashion and Hope, presented a $100,000 check to Pete Piacenti, President of the Give Hope Foundation. The August 23rd event drew more than 600 guests and raised $145,000, with an additional private donor bringing the total to $200,000.

“This is the biggest check we’ve ever written from the Hope for More Foundation, and we couldn’t be more proud,” Tanghal said at the presentation.

Piacenti said the funds will directly assist families in Central Florida facing pediatric cancer. “Every family has different needs,” Piacenti said. “Sometimes it’s transportation to the hospital, sometimes it’s rent or mortgage support. This donation helps us say yes to those needs.”

The event also featured remarks from Joe Wierda, General Manager of Fields Motorcars Orlando, who called Fashion and Hope “the most fabulous, exciting, energetic event we do all year.”

Board Members Holly Spears and Annamarie Montisano of the Hope for More Foundation attended, along with with Fashion and Hope's Backstage Director, Vee Desai and community supporters Jed Main and Alexander Anton.

J.R. Tanghal announced that next years Fashion and Hope event will be held on August 22nd.
