            Published July 24, 2025

Since debuting on social media in late 2023, the luxurious “Dubai chocolate” trend built on pistachio, tahini, and crispy knafeh has continued to captivate sweet tooth followers worldwide. With Origins dating back to 2021, British‑Egyptian chocolatier Sarah Hamouda of Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai blended her pregnancy cravings into what became the viral “Can’t Get Knafeh of It” bar. TikTok propelled the phenomenon into global fame in 2024, most notably when influencer Maria Vehera’s review amassed over 120 million views, and the trend remains vibrant and evolving two years later.

Now, a spinoff of that trend has arrived in Orlando in the form of over the top chocolate crepes, and we had to see for ourselves who’s doing it best.

We tried several cafés that claim to serve Dubai style chocolate crepes but let’s just say, many are called, few are chosen. These three stood out for delivering this trend in a way that felt indulgent, delicious, and thoughtfully made. The atmosphere? Casual, inviting, and laid-back. But the desserts? They’re doing all the talking.

If you’re looking to taste the trend that’s still dominating TikTok and Instagram, these are the top 3 spots in Orlando worth visiting.

            3. iCafé de Paris at ICON Park

Tucked inside ICON Park, this charming café may look like a quiet, modern European coffee shop, but their crepe game is anything but subtle.

What we loved: the premium chocolate. Rich, velvety, and deeply flavorful. This wasn’t your average store bought drizzle. The crepe itself was soft and slightly crisp on the edges, the crepe topping like a work of art. Crispy pistachio crumbs topped the spectacular drizzle. If you're not a Dubai chocolate person, You can also go with one of their signature combos with plenty of fresh fruit. Bonus points for the fluffy, fresh whipped cream served on the side. It’s the kind of detail that takes the whole experience from sweet to spectacular.

            2. Melt and Dip in Dr. Phillips

Melt and Dip delivers on drama. This is a dessert shop where indulgence is clearly the point and they do it exquisitely.

Their Dubai style crepe? A decadent wrap of buttery layers drenched in chocolate, with their signature pistachio and chocolate drizzle stealing the show. Every bite is crunchy, rich and nutty, with just enough sweetness to keep you going back for more. If you’re a pistachio lover, this one is a must. The shop itself also offers a wide range of over the top chocolate desserts, but their crepe holds its own as one of the best executions of the Dubai dessert trend we’ve seen locally.

            1. Bora Bora Smoothie Café on International Drive

This was the one that stopped us in our tracks. Don’t let the name fool you... Bora Bora Smoothie Café might sound like a juice bar, but this little gem is making serious waves with their Dubai Chocolate Crepe. The filling? Outrageous. A rich mixture of melted chocolate and feuilletine (that ultra-crispy, buttery crunch you didn’t know you needed) makes for the most satisfying texture contrast. It delivers that satisfying, upscale crunch reminiscent of the original knafeh filling. It’s the most authentic, sensational take we’ve seen and completely worthy of the obsession.

If you’re in Orlando and want to indulge in this trending luxury dessert, these are your top‑tier destinations with worthy presentations.

While several places across Orlando are starting to experiment with the Dubai chocolate trend, these three have set the bar with an experience that feels both viral and valuable.

Prices ranged between $18-$21 between all three locations, so if you’re ready to taste what everyone’s talking about, these are our top picks. Just bring your camera… and maybe a friend to share with (FYI, they all can be shared) Or don’t. We won’t judge.
