Innovate Orlando announced today that Sheena Fowler will be taking over the CEO role from David Adelson who announced his plans to retire in the middle of 2024.

Innovate Orlando is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing Central Florida's technology and innovation ecosystem. Their mission focuses on uniting the community, fostering innovation, and illuminating the region's technological achievements.

Since 2021, Sheena Fowler has served as the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at Red 6, a company that develops augmented reality systems for real-time military pilot training. Red 6 relocated to Orlando as a result of Fowlers efforts during her time as the VP of Innovation at the Orlando Economic Partnership. Daniel Robinson, the CEO of Red 6 agreed to relocate if Fowler joined his team.

A graduate of Full Sail and Hall of Fame inductee, Fowler has been a strong proponent of Orlando stating that the city’s secret sauce has always been it’s focus on Entertainment Technology.
